Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional for added fudginess)
- 1 1/2 cups cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Mix the melted butter and sugar until smooth, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, folding until just combined. Mix in chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Crumble or spread cookie dough evenly over the brownie layer, pressing gently to ensure even distribution.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes. Check with a toothpick; it should come out with moist crumbs but not wet batter.
- Cool before slicing. Store in an airtight container or wrap individually for longer storage.
Notes
- For extra fudginess, add more chocolate chips or swirl in caramel or peanut butter.
- Use gluten-free flour and cookies for a gluten-free version.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence.
