- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 32 oz bag of frozen Tater Tots
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic, cook until fragrant and translucent. Add ground beef or turkey, season with salt and pepper, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese to create a creamy sauce.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread cooked meat mixture evenly in a baking dish. Pour the creamy sauce over the meat. Top with remaining cheese. Layer the frozen Tater Tots on top in an even layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until Tater Tots are golden brown and crispy. For extra crispness, broil for 2-3 minutes, watching carefully.
