Tender chicken paired with rich Alfredo sauce and al dente pasta creates a delightful Italian-inspired dish your whole family will love. Simplify your dinner with this easy-to-make, restaurant-quality recipe that delivers maximum flavor with minimal effort.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) chicken breasts, cut into strips or cubes
  • 12 oz (340g) pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or penne)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil or butter. Sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add cooked chicken back into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss in the cooked pasta, stirring gently to coat all the noodles evenly. Let everything heat through for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for garnish. Serve immediately with additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Pair with a side salad or garlic bread for an extra special meal.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and melting consistency.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water or milk to loosen it.
  • For a healthier option, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a light cream alternative.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, adding a little milk or cream to maintain creaminess.
