Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 bell peppers (red and yellow), sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- Freshly ground black pepper and chili flakes to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Start by washing and slicing the bell peppers and onion. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger. Have all your ingredients ready for quick cooking.
- Heat a nonstick pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, then add the ground turkey. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed. Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
- Return the cooked turkey to the pan with the vegetables. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and chili flakes. Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors beautifully.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
Notes
- Adjust soy sauce and chili flakes according to your taste preference.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar or a squeeze of lime.
- Handle the garlic and ginger gently to preserve their flavor and aroma.
