Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, sliced into strips
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or sesame oil
- Optional garnish: chopped green onions, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Start by slicing the chicken into evenly sized strips. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar. Marinate the chicken in this mixture for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat your preferred cooking medium—such as a Ninja Air Fryer or skillet with vegetable oil—in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- While the chicken cooks, prepare the sauce by mixing sweet chili sauce with a splash of soy sauce and honey. Warm the sauce gently in a small saucepan or microwave until warm.
- Once the chicken is cooked, toss it in the warm sweet chili sauce until well coated. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over steamed rice, noodles, or alongside vegetables.
Notes
- Use thinly sliced chicken breasts or thighs for quick cooking and maximum flavor absorption.
- Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of sweet chili sauce.
- Marinate the chicken for at least 15 minutes to enhance flavor.
- You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts for more juiciness.
