- 1 loaf day-old bread, cubed
- 3 large apples, thinly sliced
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Layer bread cubes and sliced apples in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour mixture evenly over bread and apples.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- You can add chopped nuts or raisins to the layers for extra texture.
- Serve with additional syrup or a dollop of whipped cream.
