- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Combine chopped apples with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon; set aside.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, and remaining cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, sugars, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chopped apples.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.

- Use tart apples for a balanced sweetness.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
