Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Begin by patting the chicken breasts dry and seasoning them generously with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and scrape browned bits. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan (if using), and additional Cajun spices. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by varying cayenne pepper and Cajun seasoning.
- Use fresh garlic for more robust flavor.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or cashew cream.
- Ensure not to overcook the chicken to keep it juicy.
