- 2 pounds of ribeye or sirloin steak
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
- Swirl the skillet to melt the butter and coat the steak, basting occasionally.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with garlic butter drizzled on top.

- Let the steak rest to retain juices.
