- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 4 large potatoes, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing or ranch seasoning mix
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika (optional for extra flavor)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Wash and dice the potatoes into uniform pieces. Slice the smoked sausage into bite-sized pieces. Dice the onion and mince the garlic.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant (3-4 minutes).
- Add sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned (5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
- Toss diced potatoes with olive oil, black pepper, paprika, and salt. Spread on a baking sheet, roast at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until crispy.
- Mix roasted potatoes with sausage, onion, and ranch dressing or seasoning. Gently combine.
- Transfer mixture into a baking dish, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken sausage for a lighter version.
- For low-carb, replace potatoes with cauliflower florets.
- Adapt baking times if using different oven types or larger quantities.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or scallions for added freshness.
