Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1/2 cup candied nuts (almonds or pecans)
- 4 cups mixed field greens or spinach
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta or goat cheese (optional)
- 3 tablespoons champagne vinaigrette
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the candied nuts by toasting them in a skillet until golden, then coating with sugar and stirring until crunchy. Cool before using.
- Whisk together champagne vinaigrette, honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, salt, and pepper to make the dressing. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, toss greens and strawberries gently. Add crumbled cheese if desired.
- Drizzle with the dressing and toss again to coat evenly.
- Top with the candied nuts for added crunch and sweetness. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Make the candied nuts ahead of time to enhance flavor and texture.
- Store leftovers separately to prevent sogginess. Add nuts just before serving.
- Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
- An optional sprinkle of fresh herbs like mint can add extra freshness.
