- 10 fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or mini mozzarella)
- 1 small jar of black olives (for pupils)
- Fresh basil leaves (optional garnish)
- Plastic or silicone eyeball molds (for shaping, optional)
- Toothpicks or small skewers
- Olive oil (for brushing, optional)
Instructions
- Gather fresh mozzarella balls and slices of salami. Lightly grease molds if using.
- Wrap each mozzarella ball with a thin slice of salami, pressing gently to seal and shape into an eyeball.
- Slice black olives into small rounds to create pupils and place one on top of each mozzarella ball, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
- Arrange the eyeballs on a serving platter. Drizzle with olive oil or garnish with basil if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to set and enhance flavors.
