- 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced into strips
- 2 red bell peppers, sliced
- 2 green bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Place beef strips in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add sliced peppers, onion, and garlic on top.
- In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour sauce over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until beef is tender.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken or pork for beef.
- Add a dash of sesame seeds or chopped green onions for garnish.
- Adjust spice level with red pepper flakes.
