Romantic Velvet Beef Rigatoni is an indulgent and comforting pasta dish perfect for a romantic dinner for two. Featuring tender rigatoni pasta coated in a velvety Parmesan cream sauce with savory ground beef, this recipe combines richness and elegance for an unforgettable culinary experience.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound rigatoni pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned, breaking apart with a spatula.
  3. Reduce heat to low, add minced garlic, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Mix in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If needed, add reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  4. Add cooked rigatoni to the skillet, toss to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Reserve some pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Serve with fresh bread and a glass of red wine for a complete romantic meal.
