Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh lettuce or spinach leaves
- Optional: diced tomatoes, sliced avocados, or hot sauce for extra flavor
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika if desired. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and golden brown. Rest for a few minutes, then slice into thin strips.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Warm tortillas to make them pliable. Spread garlic-infused oil on each, then layer with lettuce or spinach. Add sliced chicken, sprinkle cheese, and optional toppings. Roll up tightly, folding in the sides.
- Place the wrapped tortillas in a heated skillet or panini press for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and tortillas are crispy. Alternatively, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8 minutes.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in microwave or skillet. The wraps may lose some crispiness upon storage but will reheat well.
