Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Combine warm milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar; let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- Add flour, remaining sugar, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture; knead until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Punch down dough and cut into small pieces. Coat each piece in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Arrange coated dough pieces in a greased bundt pan, layering with caramel sauce between layers.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and cool slightly. Invert onto a serving plate and drizzle with additional caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
- Ensure milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or raisins to the dough.
- Serve warm for the best gooey texture.
