- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Dip each chicken breast into the flour, then egg, then coat evenly with the bread crumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 4 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish, spoon marinara sauce over each, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 20 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot with pasta.

- You can substitute panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
