Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients, preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C), and line your loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the mashed bananas and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Ensure bananas are very ripe for maximum flavor and moisture.
- You can add nuts or chocolate chips to enhance texture and taste.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
