- 6 slices of crispy bacon, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup sliced pickles (optional)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the bacon until crispy, then chop into pieces.
- Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat; season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream and eggs until combined. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar, chopped onions, and pickles if using.
- Add the cooked meat and bacon to the mixture, stirring thoroughly to combine.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving. Let it cool slightly before enjoying.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sliced jalapeños or diced tomatoes.
- Use turkey for a leaner version.
- This casserole can be assembled a day ahead and baked when ready.
