Ingredients
Scale
- 1 store-bought package of crescent roll or puff pastry (for a flaky base)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup pepperoni slices or cooked sausage bits
- ½ cup diced bell peppers (any colors)
- ¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)
- ½ cup marinara or pizza sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the crescent roll or puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface and cut into small squares about 2 inches each.
- Spray a muffin tin with non-stick spray. Place each dough square into the muffin cups, gently pressing down to form a small cup.
- Spoon about a teaspoon of marinara sauce into each dough cup. Layer with shredded cheese, pepperoni, diced peppers, and olives as desired. Sprinkle with oregano, garlic powder, and additional cheese if preferred.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until edges are golden brown and cheese bubbles. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Brush with olive oil for shine and extra flavor.
Notes
- Customize toppings with your favorite ingredients like mushrooms, onions, or extra cheese.
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free puff pastry or dough.
- Reheat in the oven at 350°F for a crispy texture if refrigerated or frozen.
