Perfect for those craving a delicious yet simple homemade dish.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) honey garlic ground beef
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the honey garlic ground beef and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  3. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using). Mix well to combine all flavors. Stir in 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and cook for an additional minute.
  4. If desired, stir in the cornstarch mixed with water. Cook for another minute until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli evenly.

Notes

  • Use fresh broccoli for a crisper texture and better flavor.
  • Avoid overcooking the broccoli; it should be tender yet crisp.
  • Adjust soy sauce and oyster sauce amounts to your taste preference.
  • Serve immediately for optimal flavor and texture.
