Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225 g) of beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 12 oz (340 g) of Asian noodles or spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Slice the beef thinly against the grain and marinate in half of the prepared sauce for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Cook the beef until browned, about 3-4 minutes, then set aside.
- Cook noodles in boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Pour remaining sauce into the skillet, bring to a simmer, add beef, and cook for 2-3 minutes until coated and glossy.
- Add cooked noodles to the skillet, toss to combine and absorb the sauce, then serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Marinate the beef longer for deeper flavor, or add chili oil for heat.
- You can substitute beef with chicken, tofu, or vegetables like bell peppers and broccoli for vegetarian options.
- Ensure noodles are cooked al dente to avoid over-softening.
- Reheat leftovers in a skillet or microwave, adding a splash of water or broth if noodles absorb too much sauce.
