Experience the irresistible flavors of Glazed Beef Noodles, a quick and savory weeknight dinner pairing tender beef with chewy noodles coated in a sweet and savory glaze. Perfect for those craving a flavorful Asian-inspired meal in less than 30 minutes.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) of beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 12 oz (340 g) of Asian noodles or spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef thinly against the grain and marinate in half of the prepared sauce for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Cook the beef until browned, about 3-4 minutes, then set aside.
  3. Cook noodles in boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  4. Pour remaining sauce into the skillet, bring to a simmer, add beef, and cook for 2-3 minutes until coated and glossy.
  5. Add cooked noodles to the skillet, toss to combine and absorb the sauce, then serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Marinate the beef longer for deeper flavor, or add chili oil for heat.
  • You can substitute beef with chicken, tofu, or vegetables like bell peppers and broccoli for vegetarian options.
  • Ensure noodles are cooked al dente to avoid over-softening.
  • Reheat leftovers in a skillet or microwave, adding a splash of water or broth if noodles absorb too much sauce.
