Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds of high-quality beef stew meat or sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
- Optional: vegetables such as bell peppers or mushrooms for added flavor
Instructions
- Start by gathering all your ingredients and cutting the beef into evenly sized bite-sized chunks. Mince the garlic and melt the butter.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, soy sauce, minced garlic, and dried herbs. Season with salt and pepper to suit your taste.
- Place the beef pieces in the slow cooker. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the top, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender and flavorful.
- If you wish to add vegetables, stir them in during the last hour of cooking. Once done, garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh, vibrant presentation.
Notes
- For extra flavor, experiment with different herbs like rosemary or oregano.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or wrapped in lettuce for a low-carb option.
- Adjust cooking times based on your slow cooker model for optimal tenderness.
