Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for extra spice)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook your preferred pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the honey pepper sauce. Add the cooked pasta and mix well to incorporate all flavors. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to let everything meld together.
- Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley or basil. Serve hot and enjoy this easy, flavorful dinner.
Notes
- For creamier variation, add a splash of heavy cream or cream cheese.
- Adjust spice levels with more or less red pepper flakes.
- You can replace chicken with tofu or shrimp for variation.
