  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to prepare the sauce.
  2. Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
  3. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove chicken and set aside. In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Add vegetables and stir fry until tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return chicken to the pan, pour the teriyaki sauce over, and toss to coat evenly. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp for variation.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey according to taste.
