  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) of chicken breasts or thighs, cooked and shredded
  • 1 package (16 oz) of gnocchi
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup of heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons of cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by baking or sautéing until fully cooked, then shred using two forks.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until they float (about 2-3 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in the cream cheese until melted.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, stirring until smooth. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  5. Add shredded chicken and cooked gnocchi to the skillet. Mix well to coat everything in the creamy sauce. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, then cover and melt for a few minutes.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with crusty bread or a side salad. Enjoy your hearty and cheesy Easy Crack Chicken Gnocchi!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sun-dried tomatoes or sautéed mushrooms.
  • To keep gnocchi from becoming mushy, avoid freezing the dish if reheating later.
  • You can customize the cheese levels and add extra seasonings according to taste.
