Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) of chicken breasts or thighs, cooked and shredded
- 1 package (16 oz) of gnocchi
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup of heavy cream or half-and-half
- 2 tablespoons of cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by baking or sautéing until fully cooked, then shred using two forks.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until they float (about 2-3 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in the cream cheese until melted.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring until smooth. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Add shredded chicken and cooked gnocchi to the skillet. Mix well to coat everything in the creamy sauce. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, then cover and melt for a few minutes.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with crusty bread or a side salad. Enjoy your hearty and cheesy Easy Crack Chicken Gnocchi!
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sun-dried tomatoes or sautéed mushrooms.
- To keep gnocchi from becoming mushy, avoid freezing the dish if reheating later.
- You can customize the cheese levels and add extra seasonings according to taste.
