Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large whole wheat or flour tortillas
- 1 lb sliced turkey breast or deli turkey
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cup fresh spinach or romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese
- 4 slices crispy bacon (optional)
- Fresh tomato slices
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs like basil or cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Start by gathering your fresh ingredients. Slice the avocado, wash the greens, and prepare any optional additions like bacon or herbs to add flavor depth.
- Lay out a tortilla on a flat surface. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or Greek yogurt mixed with Dijon mustard across the center. Layer with slices of turkey, avocado, cheese, and fresh tomato slices. Add lettuce and herbs as desired. If you prefer crispy bacon, place it on top at this stage.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly from the bottom up. Use toothpicks if needed to secure the wraps or wrap them in parchment paper.
- Cut the wraps diagonally for presentation. Serve immediately with your favorite side salad or chips. For a warm and crispy finish, consider grilling the wraps on a panini press or in a skillet until golden brown.
Notes
- Feel free to customize with different vegetables or cheeses.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice on avocado slices to prevent browning.
- Leftover wraps can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
