- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs

- For the mousse:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan and line with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, then let cool completely.
- While the brownie base cools, prepare the mousse. Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until Just boiling then pour over chopped chocolate and butter. Let sit 2 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
- Spread the chocolate mousse evenly over cooled brownie layer. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
- Optional: Top with chocolate ganache, berries, and a dusting of cocoa powder before serving.
