- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place flour in a shallow dish, beaten eggs in another, and mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a third.
- Dip each chicken breast in flour, then eggs, then breadcrumb mixture, ensuring even coating.
- Arrange chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Remove from oven, spoon marinara sauce over each chicken piece, and top with shredded mozzarella.
- Return to oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- You can use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Serve with spaghetti or a side salad for a complete meal.
