- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients alternating with apple cider, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before removing from pan. Serve topped with apple slices and caramel if desired.
Notes
- Ensure butter is softened for better incorporation.
- Adjust spice levels according to taste.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
