- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into chunks
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Marinate chicken in this mixture for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
- Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 1 minute.
- Add marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
- Pour in tomato sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour for best flavor.
- Adjust spice levels to taste by adding more or less paprika and chili powder.
