- 1.5 lbs boneless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into chunks
- 1 cup tomato sauce or pureed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut milk
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Place chicken pieces into the slow cooker.
- Add tomato sauce, garlic, garam masala, paprika, turmeric, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Stir to coat the chicken evenly with spices and sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the heavy cream or coconut milk and butter.
- Cover and cook for remaining time until the sauce is creamy and heated through.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve over cooked rice.

- Adjust spice levels according to taste.
- For a thicker sauce, simmer uncovered for the last 30 minutes.
