A quick and decadent creamy garlic shrimp pasta that combines succulent shrimp with a rich, garlicky sauce and al dente pasta for an irresistible meal.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g spaghetti or your favorite pasta
  • 300g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat everything evenly.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine during the garlic sauté.
  • Use fresh shrimp for the best taste and texture.
  • Serve with a side of garlic bread or a crisp salad for a complete meal.
