- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package gnocchi (about 16 oz)

- Chopped fresh chives or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté diced onion and garlic until translucent.
- Pour in chicken broth, bring to a simmer.
- Add gnocchi and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked bacon back to the soup, season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped herbs.

- Ensure gnocchi are cooked just until tender to prevent mushiness.
- You can substitute sour cream for heavy cream for a tangier flavor.
- For extra flavor, add a dash of smoked paprika.
