Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla, whisking until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients, stirring gently to avoid overmixing.
- Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use overripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
- Do not overmix to keep the bread tender and moist.
- Optional add-ins enhance flavor—try nuts or chocolate chips.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
