Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing gently.
- Fold in blueberries carefully to prevent bursting.
- In a small bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the pan, spread cream cheese evenly, then top with remaining batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use fresh blueberries for best flavor. Frozen can be used but do not thaw to prevent color bleeding.

- Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of honey if desired.
