Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray. You can also line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently to combine. Do not overmix — just until the flour is incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly into the batter. This ensures each slice has a delightful chocolatey burst.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely for best slices.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add chopped walnuts or dark chocolate chips.
- Ensure bananas are ripe for optimal sweetness.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
- Wrap tightly and freeze slices for longer storage.
