Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons hot sauce (your choice of spiciness)
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then marinate for at least 10 minutes to enhance flavor.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey and hot sauce until well combined. This sweet and spicy mixture will serve as the glaze for the chicken.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- Once the chicken is cooked, pour the honey hot sauce over it, turning the chicken to coat evenly. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove the skillet from heat, sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese generously over the chicken, and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts; adjust cooking time to 8-10 minutes per side.
- If feta isn’t available, use goat cheese or shredded mozzarella as an alternative.
- The spice level depends on your hot sauce choice; adjust accordingly for milder or spicier heat.
- Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to preserve flavor and texture.
